Brigitte Purdy Band - LIVE

7:00pm 7:00pm

Brigitte Purdy Band - LIVE

(California)

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Brigitte Purdy didn't take too long to be noted and be asked to perform on the same stage with artists like Walter Trout, Sugaray Rayford, Tim Bogart Paul Rodgers, Dionne Warwick, and Dolly Parton amongst others.

Once the ice of the music business was broken, Brigitte Rios Purdy's next step into connecting completely with music at 360 degrees was starting to write her own songs. Her profound, love and admiration for the late great B.B. King pushed the American artist to compose her very first song called Lucille, Don't You Weep, a blues ballad with clear references to King's most favourite guitar and the intensity of the sound coming from one of the most famous blues guitars of all time. The song became the perfect platform for the singer and songwriter to combine her wonderful and unique voice with her new found talent as a lyricist and to inspire her to write more songs that would allow Purdy to show her phenomenal vocal skills.

The tune is a superb blues ballad with tinges of jazz, with a flawless vocal performance from Purdy. The Californian artist is, though, not just a great blues interpreter but she has also written and recorded few catchy songs with a more blues/rock approach, like Rise Like The Water and Shot Heard Around The World, part of the original material belonging to the repertoire of this rising star in the music business.

Colt and The Peacemakers - LIVE

Andy Shofner developed his love of music and songwriting while growing up in Sumner WA. At a very young age Andy picked up an acoustic guitar, learned to play and breathed his first song inspiring him to avidly pursue a career in music. Some of his earliest work relates to small town attitudes, work, family, the ups and downs in everyday life.

Currently Andy and the band "Colt and the Peacemakers" are reworking a few of the old tunes as well as writing and performing within the genre that Andy and the band all love and find an inspiration and alternative to the new "pop" country that fills the commercial airwaves. A throwback to the "Outlaw" country and "Honky Tonk" made famous by the likes of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, to name a few, is where the boys are finding their stride. Andy's songs and the energy provided by the band capture the voice of the human condition. Heartache, Love, Living, and Losing.....The band gives it's audience an experience in song they can relate to.
